The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), as part of its ongoing, islandwide Right to Information (RTI) awareness programme, this week conducted its training in Sinhala for the People’s Bank , Pensioners’ association at Matara district People’s Bank auditorium.
The sessions held on September 14th, had 150 participants from the People’s Bank , Pensioners’ association.
The programme is designed to promote the use of the RTI Act, communicate the Act in a simplified manner, highlight the benefits of the Law and practical issues when requesting for information. The programme was conducted by Mr Kamal Liyanarachchi
තොරතුරු දැනගැනීමේ පනතට සමගාමිව සිවිල් ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීමේ දීප ව්‍යාප්ත වැඩමුළු ශ්‍රී ලංකා පුවත්පත් ආයතනය විසින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරමින් 2017, සැප්තැම්බර් මස 14වන දින මාතර මහජන බැංකු ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී, මහජන බැංකු විශ්‍රාමිකයන්ගේ සංගමයේ මාතර දිස්ත්‍රික් සාමාජිකයන් දැනුවත් කිරීම සිදුවිය. දැනුවත් කිරීම සිදු කරන ලද්දේ ලැබුවේ කමල් ලියනාරච්චි මහතා විසිනි.
ලංකාවේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයටත්, ජනතාවගේ අයීතින්ටත් ඉතාමත් වැදගත් වන තොරතුරු දැනගැනීමේ පණත මේ වන විට සම්මත වී ක්‍රියාත්මක වී මාස ගණනාවකි. මෙම පනත වඩාත් සක්‍රීය කර ගැනීම සදහා මේ පිළිබද නිසි අයුරින් දැනුවත් වීම වඩාත් වැදගත් වේ.
