An awareness programme was held for Civil Soceity in Rathnapura to educate about the Right To Information (RTI) act. It held on 18th of August at Samudhi Hotel. The programme was conducted by Mr Kamal Liyanarachchi   

The participants were educated on the contents of the Act including the access to information by the general public, responsibility of state institutions to publish information, responsibility to release information etc.

තොරතුරු දැනගැනීමේ පනතට සමගාමිව සිවිල් ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීමේ දීප ව්‍යාප්ත වැඩමුළු ශ්‍රී ලංකා පුවත්පත් ආයතනය විසින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරමින් 2017, අගෝස්තු 18වන දින සමුදී හෝටලයේදී රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ සිවිල් ප්‍රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම සිදුවිය. ලංකාවේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයටත්, ජනතාවගේ අයීතින්ටත් ඉතාමත් වැදගත් වන තොරතුරු දැනගැනීමේ පණත මේ වන විට සම්මත වී ක්‍රියාත්මක වී මාස ගණනාවකි. මෙම පනත වඩාත් සක්‍රීය කර ගැනීම සදහා මේ පිළිබද නිසි අයුරින් දැනුවත් වීම වඩාත් වැදගත් වේ.
