Workshop for Youth on Right to Information in Badulla

A workshop to educate youth on Right to Information Act was held in Badulla. This was organized by Sri Lanka Press Institute and funded by USAID under Empowering Youth in Building Culture of Accountability in Sri Lanka project.

The workshop was held on 18th and 19th of October at Riverside Inn Hotel. Around 50 youth participants between ages 17-29 took part and sessions were conducted in both Sinhala and English mediums. They had interactive sessions on how to write RTI applications, appeals etc. Many interesting issues were raised by the participants.
