The Sri Lanka Press Institute, in collaboration with the Climate Change Secretariat and the Western Province Chief Secretary’s Office, organized a discussion cum workshop on Climate Change Impacts for public sector stakeholders of the Western Province in support of the preparations for the Provincial Adaptation plan for Climate Change Impacts. The workshop was held on August 28, 2018 at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment. A consortium of four institutes, namely the Sri Lanka Press Institute, the SLYCAN Trust, Integrated Development Association (IDEA) and Janathakshan (Guranteed) Ltd, is involved in developing a communication and a research strategy which is an integrated part of the project for the Third National Communication on Climate Change for Sri Lanka. Workshops for the stakeholders of the public sector are a part of the communication strategy process.
